Hey, you Adjuncts out there!
Do something good for yourselves! Come and find out why a group of us (the Adjunct Organizing Committee) is so optimistic about the future at Temple. We now have the solid support of the TAUP and the AFT and a timeline pointed at a representation election in the not too distant future.
We are now holding pairs of meetings every two or three weeks to build our organizing infrastructure to the strength we will need (well over a hundred) when we begin to contact the roughly 1600 adjuncts who teach at Temple throughout its several campuses.
Our next meetings are this coming Wednesday and Thursday, October 24 and 25 at 4:00 in the afternoon, in the Barton Hall Library, room 209. We are moving these meetings around, both in time and place, in the effort to accommodate as many people’s schedules as possible, so we hope that some of you can join us next week to become a part of this exciting effort that can only improve the situation of all of us adjuncts, “the new faculty majority in America.”
If these times don’t work for you right now, contact us to let us know when and where you can come. Send your information either to Regina Bannan bannan@temple.edu or Ralph Flood ralflood@earthlink.edu , or to the TAUP office: taupaft@aol.com |
